Adopt A Dolphin

PLEASE NOTE:
ADOPTIONS NO LONGER AVAILABLE

Dolphins are lively, intelligent, social mammals which have fascinated mankind for centuries. However, these magnificent marine mammals and their habitat are now increasingly under threat from human activities and need your help to ensure their survival.

The Moray Firth in north-east Scotland has the only known resident population of bottlenose dolphin in the North Sea which is home to a small, isolated and very vulnerable population of around 140 animals. They are present all year round, and, while they range widely in the Moray Firth, they appear to favour particular areas.

For many years, the Marine Connection has been committed to making a difference for these particular dolphins and helped make part of the Firth a Special Area of Conservation (SAC) to protect their population.

If you share the charity's belief that these dolphins must continue to be protected from oil and gas exploration, increased vessel traffic and disturbance then please adopt Swanee, Whistler, Sailfin or Black & Decker today. Money raised via our adoption programme plays a vital part in supporting the charity's work and the future conservation and protection of these highly sociable, intelligent marine mammals.

Adoptions also make superb presents, so why not adopt a dolphin as a surprise gift for a friend or member of your family - people of all ages love it!
