UK dolphin deaths continue

Neil Parish, Conservative MEP for South West England, made a recent comment that stated Ben Bradshaw,UK's Fisheries Minister should stop "dragging his feet" and take drastic action to prevent more dolphin and porpoise deaths from fishing nets.

Commenting on the issue, Mr Parish said the European Commission has already launched infringement proceedings against the UK for not adequately monitoring how effectively our cetacean population is being protected. A first written warning was sent to the Government at the end of last year. Parish also said that the UK government is clearly failing in their duty to provide adequate protection for these marine mammals and take immediate action to bring this outrage to an end.
