Big Blue Event is just the ticket

The Marine Connection 2006 annual fundraising evening held on 18 May at the prestigious Chinawhite club in London was a huge success.

The Big Blue Event with its 'From the Deep' theme, had exciting personally signed auction items from celebrities such as the England World Cup squad, David Beckham, Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Depp, Tom Cruise plus other items such as a learn to dive holiday, tickets for the new London stage production of Evita, hotel breaks, restaurant deals and much more.

We would like to thank all of our celebrities for their continued support and belief in the Marine Connection's work.

Thanks also goes out to Chinawhite, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber (Really Useful Group), Tony Backhurst, Sports Café (London) and to everyone else who contributed to help make the evening a huge success.

All funds raised help to support our field projects, research work and campaigns around the world and to develop/expand our educational and public awareness programmes which are vital to the future conservation and protection of these highly sociable and intelligent marine mammals.
