Dead porpoise found in the Moray Firth

A porpoise was found on February 21 at Inglis bay, approx half mile west of
Findochty in the Moray Firth, Scotland.

Apparently the animal was in a poor condition and clearly thin. There were no obvious markings on the porpoise to indicate that it may have been killed by a bottlenose dolphin - (a common occurence in the area).

It is however the third stranding of the same species within a week around Scotland, as other porpoise strandings occurred at Stonehaven and another on Stornaway on 23 February.
