Safety Nets Campaign

 |
"The Safety Nets© campaign is an admirably ambitious venture of which I am proud to be patron. It addresses the topical issue of dolphin and whale conservation in an imaginative way and I have faith that the charity will prove to the nation that these mammals require protection."

Scientists estimate that nearly 1,000 whales, dolphins and porpoises drown every day after becoming tangled in fishing nets and other fishing gear however, in reality, the figures are probably at least 10 times that amount.
The Marine Connection launched its' Safety Nets© campaign to help raise public awareness to the hundreds of dolphins and whales which continue to die after being caught in fishing nets.
To highlight the issue and raise awareness of the campaign, many celebrities and leading fashion designers personally customised pairs of fishnet stockings, under the theme of "These Fishnets Don't Kill Dolphins"

is an issue which has been known about for so long now, it's
inconceivable that this slaughter is still continuing so needlessly.
Good luck with your
