“Safety Nets Auction” - 10 July 2003 at Chinawhite in London
The purpose of the auction was not only to raise funds for the Safety Nets campaign but also, more importantly, to raise public awareness to the thousands of dolphin deaths and fatalities caused by nets used during various commercial fishing methods both in the UK and Europe.
Support for the evening was tremendous, not only had various celebrities customised stockings to aid the cause, others also generously donated items for auction; English National Ballet, Elemis Day Spa, Cinnamon Club, Chinawhite, Quintissentially, Anastasia/Sony Music and Vinopolis.
Entertainment was provided by leading Elvis tribute artist, Liberty Mounten, even those too young to remember Elvis couldn’t help but join in on the dance floor – the atmosphere was electric and our dolphin vodka luge and ice dolphin table decorations were hugely popular too!
