Japanese fishermen vow to continue hunting dolphins
Japanese fishermen have vowed they will not be giving into anti-dolphin hunting campaigning by environmental groups and will continue drive hunts which are the largest annual slaughter of dolphins and small whales anywhere in the world.
It is also stated that people in Japan love to eat dolphin meat cooked with vegetables in a sukuyaki pot or raw sashimi and that most of the meat from the dolphins and whales is locally consumed. However what they fail to mention is that most people in Japan are unaware of the nature of these hunts from which the meat is sourced; in fact fishermen now go to great lengths to hide evidence and keep the facts as quiet as possible and aim to kill dolphins unobserved.
However film footage and photographs taken by colleagues in Japan and the USA clearly show that dolphins are still being brutally murdered; those considered "show quality" are spared death but are live captured before being selected by marine parks and transported to aquariums in Japan and abroad, where unknowing tourists pay to swim with them.
