Help stop Icelandic whaling

The Marine Connection is working with anti-whaling group Campaign Whale to persuade major UK fish retailers to stop buying seafood from Iceland. The whales really need your help at this critical time!

Watch whales, don't kill them!
Whale-watching is a rapidly growing industry worldwide. For example, in Iceland around 80,000 people will go whale watching this year and the industry is worth an estimated £25 million per year. We need to convince the Icelanders that whales are worth more alive, than dead.

Working together against Japan's claims on 'scientific' whaling
Australian conservation advocate Vicky Neville contacted the Marine Connection to help her spearhead an international campaign against Japan's scientific whale research programme - slaughter in the name of science. The humpback whales that frequent Australian waters are the very same whales which the Japanese whaling fleet feel they should have the right to kill in the name of science in the waters of Antarctica.
