Urgent - please ACT NOW for Taiji dolphins

The Marine Connection was very concerned to learn from our colleague Ric O'Barry that following our previous report that the town of Broome in Kimberley, western Australia had cut ties with Taiji (its' sister town in Japan), they are now having a public vote on whether to continue this.

Take Action

It is vital that you act now to persuade Broome to uphold their suspension of ties with Taiji as long as they continue the annual kill and capture of dolphins in the drive hunts.

A decision is expected to be made by the council at approx 5pm on 13 October (Australian time) so please email Broom Shire President, Graeme Campbell as a matter of urgency, requesting the suspension remains. Even if you miss this deadline, your email will still make a difference - the more emails the President receives, the more support will be shown to continue this suspension.
