Plans for the new Dolphin Discovery facility were drawn up after the old dolphinarium at Meads Bay had been closed and had to be relocated. It is still currently unknown exactly why construction was halted, however animal welfare and conservation organisations have long voiced their strong opposition to the relocation of the facility. |
