"I'll be back"Arnie tells Shamu
Arnold Schwarzenegger embraced Shamu at SeaWorld San Diego recently, as part of a mission to tell the world that after last month’s devastating wildfires, California tourism is back on track.
While it is important to show the world that California is recovering from the latest fires and is once again a safe holiday destination, it is however a great pity that a captive animal has been used to promote this.
Marine Connection Campaigns Development Officer, Janja Novak comments; "California are fortunate to have an abundance of marine wildlife, surely it would have been more suitable to the conservation and protection of them and their natural habitat - we are greatly saddened by the Governor's decision to endorse animals in captivity to the public in this way."
