Newly elected mayor for Greensboro in North Carolina, Ms Yvonne Johnson is interested in opening a dolphinarium which will feature a dolphin show, scuba diving and a research centre.

Ms Johnson also said; "I just found out the other day that it is therapeutic to bring autistic children and down-syndrome children and allow them to interact with the dolphins. It's remarkable."

There is a lot of controversy surrounding dolphin assisted therapy (DAT) and the Marine Connection believes that it is irresponsible to attribute dolphins with 'healing' powers.
