Stranded orca taken to aquarium

The Marine Connection has concerns over a young female orca found alive recently in the Dutch Wadden Sea and captured by the Harderwijk dolphinarium.

When first sighted it was reported the animal was starving and weak but is now eating and regaining strength. Marine biologists are closely monitoring her health and have named it Morgan.

The charity's concern is that the facility may not release this animal and use the excuse that due to its' age this young whale may not be able to survive on its' own. If this does happen we believe there is little chance of the whale being released back into the wild as the facility currently only has dolphins at the facility and may welcome the addition of a young orca to its collection.
