| Kerala promotes responsible tourism
Despite having plans afoot to build an oceanarium in the country which will include a dolphinarium, Kerala Tourism is hosting the “Incredible India" Second International Conference on Responsible Tourism in Destinations in March 2008.
This will also focus on environmental impacts of tourism in the country as a whole and aims to work towards being a responsible tourism destination. Wildlife and conservation will be one of the topics discussed at the conference.

Take action
Please email the organisers of the conference and officials in Kerala informing them that building an oceanarium to house captive marine mammals is adverse to the aims of the conference and will reflect badly on Kerala’s efforts to be a responsible tourism destination.
Politely request that they continue the aims to promoting Kerala’s eco-tourism options rather than be seen to support the suffering of animals in captivity which in turn, will greatly impact the areas' image worldwide on the tourism market.
