Cornwall
The Cornish coastline is home to an incredible variety of dolphins, porpoises, whales and other fantastic marinelife. This area is very popular for watching marine mammals in their
natural environment. Departing from Penzance, you have the possibility of seeing many species; in the spring/summer months bottlenose dolphins, porpoises and basking sharks are frequent visitors whilst in the winter months Risso's and common dolphins plus larger whale species such as minke whalescan also be sighted. The one big advantage of the Cornwall trips is that they run all year round.
Penzance enjoys the most temperate climate of the British Isles and from early Spring through to late Autumn its numerous sub-tropical flowers and palm trees certainly adds to the unique nature of the local environment. It is undeniably one of Cornwall's most attractive towns, both in terms of its architecture and position and, perhaps more importantly, its spirit. Only 10 miles from Land's End, the town is surrounded by an area of Celtic culture and outstanding natural beauty.
Penzance with its fantastic, unique
open-air theatre dramatically situated on the cliffs at Porthcumo, the sea
caves of Nanjizel, the legendary Land's End and also St Michael's Mount, helps to ensure that time not spent out at sea will be an adventure.
As for restaurants, you will be spoilt for choice; from quaint old pubs to
contemporary restaurants there is something to suit every taste.
